         以鲜明的Hip-Hop风格，BoyzIIMen充当了复兴R&B（节奏布鲁斯）合唱组的急先锋。同时他们也是Motown唱片公司的救命稻草（BoyzIIMen成为Motown公司有史以来最为成功的乐队，他们的第2张专辑《BoyzIIMen——II》，是公司有史以来最畅销的专辑）。截止到1997年上半年，在全球BoyzIIMen的唱片销量已经达到了3000万张，并获得了大大小小无数奖项，更重要的，他们赢得了无数歌迷的心。
         BoyzIIMen发行的第一张专辑《Cooleyhighhamony》（中文名称：清凉的和声）于1991年5月发行。（这个名字的来源是1975年的一部喜剧“Cooley High”。）籍此专辑，BoyzIIMen很快就占领了各大广播电台的音乐节目。第一支单曲“Motownphilly”（汽车城）不到7月便有了Billboard榜单Top3的好成绩；第二支单曲，翻唱电影“Cooley High”原声曲的“It’s so hard to say goodbye to yesterday”在10月份也登上了Top2的位置。截止到现在，这张专辑只是在美国本土就已经销出了700万张。到1992年，看上去第一张专辑的热潮似乎就要过去的时候，单曲“ end of the world” ——电影Boomerang（飞去来）主题曲——就在这个时候发行了。这首单曲在排行榜上的TOP1令人吃惊的停留了13周之久。打破了猫王在1956年创下的11周的最高纪录。只可惜的是，这个记录几个月后便被Whitney Houston那首伤感的“I’ll always love you”所打破，成绩是14周。但是BoyzIIMen似乎注定与“单曲榜首停留时间最长”这个冠军有缘。不久BoyzIIMen的另一支单曲“I’ll make love to you”(1994)就平了这项纪录。在这之后的一支与Mariah Carey合作的单曲“One sweet day”，在Top1的位置上停留了16周之久。
